Study tips for mid-year exams

High school mid-year exams are just around the corner. This time of the academic calendar  can be stressful for students, however there are things you can do to make sure you are prepared and hopefully that will reduce anxiety levels.

It is important to ask for help. Either from teachers at school or from a tutor. A high school tutor can help with study skills, revision of content and organisation.

It is important to plan your study ahead of time. We suggest using a planner/diary to map out your study and break times. You need to be realistic when making your study timetable, include breaks.

We suggest you use mind maps for summarising content. It is a good visual tool, especially if you are a visual learner.

Set up your study space. Your study space should be quiet and comfortable. It is really important to remove distractions, especially mobile phones.
